Sunnah Fasting in the month of Muharram Ashura
Fasting in addition to a glorious worship with Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala also contains many other benefits. By fasting person can control lust and lust for. And fasting also be a shield from hellfire. Fasting can also remove sins and intercede on the Day of Judgment. And fasting also can evoke a sense of human solidarity, as well as other benefits that have been understandably contained on this glorious worship.

In Muharram there is one day that is known as the day of 'Ashura. People of ignorance in pre Islamic and Jewish nation glorifies today. This is because on this day Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala saved Prophet Moses, peace be upon him from the pursuit of Pharaoh and his armies. Grateful for the gift of Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala to him, the Prophet Moses, peace be upon him finally to fast on this day. When this news to our Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi respectfully, through the Jews living in Medina, he said,

"I have more right to follow Moses from you (Jews)".

Such as when the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi respectfully to Madinah, Madinah he found the Jews fasting on this day, so he conveyed his saying as above. Since then he ordered his people to fast Saw, so be fasting 'Ashura among the preferred worship in Islam. And when it's Ramadan fasting is not required.
Abdullah bin Abbas radiyallahu 'anhu who told this story to us as found in Sahih Bukhari No. 1900,

"When the Prophet came to Medina, he saw the Jews fasting on the day of 'Ashura. He sallallaahu 'alaihi respectfully asked, "What day is it?". The Jews replied, "It's a good day, on this day Allah saved the Children of Israel from their enemies, Moses' peace be upon him to fast on this day. Prophet said, "I have more right to follow Moses from you (Jews). So he fasted on that day and commanded his people to do it ". Reported by al-Bukhari

And from radiyallahu Aisha 'anha, she recounts,

"Once the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi respectfully commanded to fast on the day of' Ashura. And when Ramadan fasting obligatory, whoever wants to (fasting on the day of 'Ashura) he may fast and whoever wants to (not fast) he should break the fast ". Reported by al-Bukhari No. 1897

The virtue of fasting 'Ashura in Islam.

In his lifetime the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi respectfully fasted on the day of' Ashura. This habit has even done he sallallaahu 'alaihi respectfully since before the mandatory fasting Ramadan and continue until the end hayatnyaShallallahu' alaihi respectfully. Al Imam Al Bukhari (No. 1902) and Al Imam Muslim (No. 1132) narrated in Saheeh those of Abdullah bin Abbas radiyallahu 'anhuma, he said,
